Luanakai Maui Condos

Unique seaside vacation rentals among Maui's accommodations. There are many types of lodging you can choose from when visiting Maui but Luana Kai offers a unique equilibrium of benefits over other accommodations.

As well as Maui condo's there are also Maui vacation rentals in the form of Bed and breakfasts and Hotels each with their own benefits and con's.

Maui B & B's are located all over the island throughought Kihei and Wailea, from Hana to Paia and Sprecklesville, through Old Wailuku Town, Makawao, Pukalani and Kula. They offer 'at home' style living with larger units and at higher prices than Luana Kai Maui condos. Many of Maui's bed and breakfasts are experiencing increased attention from the Planning Director. Many may be closed and/or fined before the year is out.

The Honolulu Advertiser reports, "WAILUKU, Maui — Saying he did not want to continue a climate of "permissiveness," Planning Director Jeffrey Hunt revealed Tuesday his intention to crack down on illegal transient vacation rental operators... Outside hotel districts, county land-use statutes currently allow only bed-and-breakfast operations as vacation rentals within a residential district. Bed-and-breakfast permits require the owner to live in the home in which the rental units are provided... A 2005 county-sponsored study estimated there are as many as 800 illegal transient vacation rentals in Maui County."

In contrast and comparison to Bed and Breakfasts Luana Kai's Maui condo's offer seaside luxury, pools, tennis courts and of course traditional at home amenities such as in-unit laundry, full kitchens, outdoor barbecues, books, Satellite TV, internet access and more.

Maui Hotels are another choice but are generally priced much higher per night than Luana Kai condos. Hotels are often more crowded as well and do not have individual kitchens, laundry nor easy access to the more affordable markets. Luana Kai Maui condos in Kihei however are affordable, conveniently located and offer the amenities previously listed.
